The problem with ordinary cleaning in Calgary

How pure-water cleaning works
Instead of fighting the minerals, we remove them first. Calgary tap water passes through a four-stage purification system:
- Sediment filter — traps dirt, sand and rust.
- Carbon filter — removes chlorine and organics that cause streaks.
- Reverse osmosis — a fine membrane rejects ~98% of dissolved minerals.
- Deionization — a final resin stage polishes the water to 0 TDS.
We apply that pure water through a soft brush on a water-fed pole, agitate the grime, and give a final pure rinse. The water sheets off and the glass dries on its own — perfectly clear.
Why “0 TDS” is the key number
TDS stands for total dissolved solids — basically how much mineral is in the water, in parts per million. Calgary tap water can run 150–250+ ppm. Pure water is 0 ppm. With nothing dissolved in it, pure water is actually “hungry” — it pulls dirt off the glass and leaves nothing behind when it evaporates.
